Overview
Intercom's MCP server lets AI tools and CLIs (like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, and VS Code) securely access your Intercom data through the Model Context Protocol. Query conversations, contacts, companies, and Help Center articles, and create or update articles directly from your AI tool. Available for US-hosted Intercom workspaces.
How it works
Add the Intercom MCP server to your AI tool using the Streamable HTTP endpoint https://mcp.intercom.com/mcp. Available for US-hosted Intercom workspaces.
Authenticate with OAuth to grant access scoped to your existing Intercom permissions. Works with MCP-compatible clients including Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, and VS Code.
Once connected, query conversations, contacts, companies, and Help Center articles, and create or update articles directly from your AI tool.
Configure
The Intercom MCP server provides read access to conversations, contacts, and companies, plus read and write access to Help Center articles. Currently available for US-hosted workspaces only.
